This is for you!Client DetailsA prestigious manufacturer with a great team are seeking a new additionDescriptionThe successful candidate will report to the procurement manager and be responsible for

  • Supporting on strategic sourcing
  • Achieve cost reduction goals as assigned by the business
  • Working cross functionally with internal departments
  • Collaboration with internal teams and members of staff to align and develop sourcing strategies
  • Heading up and leading internal projects
  • Ensuring continuous supply of required goods and materials and communicate any supply problems which may pose a risk or impact on business operations
  • Monitoring market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
  • Developing ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance and work towards a strategy of continuous improvement
  • Assessing and evaluate suppliers and undertake performance reviews to ensure contract compliance and manage performance improvement activities
  • Ensuring that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships
ProfileThe successful candidate will
  • Have previous experience within a purchasing team
  • Have drive and ambition and not be afraid to roll sleeves up to get stuck in
  • Have prior experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Have strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Have extensive knowledge of raw material pricing and material management and flow
  • Be experienced in global stakeholder engagement
  • Have solid data driven skills
