Job Description

Are you an experienced administrator within the construction/defence sector Pertemps is working with a local construction company, who have an exciting opportunity to join their team. Please note, thisis a 12-month fixed term contract, startingas soon as possible.You will have responsibility coordinating and overseeing all office and site admin– taking full ownership under your own supervision efficiently.Job details:

  • Salary from £24,000 + p/a
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
  • 12-month fixed term contract, starting in October/November 2023
  • Must hold a valid driving licence.
  • Ability to complete an advanced DBS and any security clearances needed.
What will you do as the Administrator
  • Youll support all the project team members from an admin perspective.
  • Youll interact with colleagues, customers, and the supply chain
  • Youll answer phone calls, enquiries, and requests.
  • Ensure all incoming and outgoing post is dealt with.
  • Support staff in assigned project-based work.
  • Be a positive and helpful ambassador for the company, giving others confidence.
  • Be prepared to take additional responsibility, where you see it is necessary, to support the team or the office staff in general.
  • Ensure all work is accurate and checked prior to submission.
  • Manage supply chain and develop strong relationships.
  • Complete supply chain reviews where applicable
  • Offer ideas for improving the service you offer or the processes for which you are responsible for
  • Keep up to date with industry changes and legislation that will affect your role.
  • Attend review meetings as required.
  • Obtain and maintain great client relationships.
  • Attend events where applicable.
What skills and experience do you need
  • Be able to deal effectively and collaboratively with people and communicate effectively
  • Ability to work independantly or as part of a team
  • Good writing, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle a wide variety of situations and problems
  • Computer literate in all Microsoft office applications (e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Experience of managing and maintaining database systems and organising record keeping systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong inter-personal skills
  • Experience of managing external stakeholders and liaising with suppliers
  • Ability to write clear, concise minutes and reports.
  • Excellent time keeping, reliability and personal organisation skills.
  • Able to adapt to changing work priorities at short notice, take on the ideas of others and adapt own way of working.
  • Positive, service-oriented, and helpful inter-personal communication
  • Ability to manage own time and diary productively to ensure completion of own tasks, in an appropriate and efficient way.
  • Ability to escalate appropriately when needed.
  • Demonstrate genuine interest in the input and expertise of others and is willing to learn from others.
  • Works effectively and cooperatively with others.
  • Demonstrates the ability to learn, change, and grow from experience, feedback, exposure, successes, and failures.
  • 100% accurancy when it comes to filing and typing etc.
