REED are pleased to be partnered with an established firm of Chartered Accountants based in North West London. They offer a wide range of services to businesses and individuals across the UK. The primary responsibility of the Accounts Senior Manager isto ensure the successful preparation of a large portfolio of the financial statements within the accounts production team through close partnership with the external client.You will work in the accounting department, and you will work closely with the Partner in preparing, supervising, reviewing and the approval of financial statements produced by the team .You will be responsible for the direct oversight and management of a team.You will be responsible for the on-the-job training of the entire team and the delivery of the accounts production assignments across the entire client portfolio. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of interesting businesses and help providea great client service.The Role: Head-up and oversee the operations of the Accounting Department reporting directly to the Partner Maintain chain of command throughout department Supervise work performed in the Accounting Department, including Managers, fully qualified and trainees Plan and organise own work in a rapidly changing and technical environment Process company financial data efficiently and effectively Enforce policies and procedures Produce and review financial statements using CaseWare software Plan and budget projects, whilst driving efficiencies Co-ordinate efforts across departments where necessary Assign projects between accounting staff members Set and manage the schedule for accounting department assignments Supporting the roll-out of new applications or updates where necessary Business development activities and ability to generate new opportunitiesSkills:Fully qualified accountant (ACCA / ACA qualified) must have at least 2 years experience acting as a line manager for junior team members in public practice. Experience of managing a team of at least 3 people. Strong project focus including attention to detail and consistent follow-through. Ability to prioritise and work in a highly dynamic, fast paced and team-orientated environment. Excellent numerical, written and verbal communication skills in English CaseWare accounts production skills would be beneficial.
