Job Description

Information Security Manager Location: Pinner, HA5 5NESalary: £40,000 plus OTE of 10-15% company performance related bonusHours of Work: 9am to 5:30pm Monday to FridayBenefits: Holiday starts at 23 days (plus public holidays)About the Company:Our client shapes and implements prize promotions for major brands such as Cadbury, Kellogg’s, American Express and Pepsi. They are a team of 30+ legal, marketing, project management, data and logistics experts who manage everything from giving solid legal advice on implementing promotions worldwide, to selecting winners of prize draws, to judging entries for competitions or creating ‘WillyWonka’ style instant win packs, to contacting winners and arranging their prizes – all with an emphasis on compliance, knowledge and consumer care. There is huge amount of variety, a strong team ethos and the joy of seeing your work on supermarket shelves and websites all around the world.The company has been ISO27001 accredited for four years and customer data is a vital part of their offering so it is crucial that our information security process and policies are up to date and controlled at all times.This is the ideal role for someone who has studied the subject, has had a few years of experience at a junior level in an Information Security team and is now keen to put theory into practice and step into their first management role.Information Security Manager Responsibilities:

  • Management of our ISO27001 accreditation to ensure compliance at all times with full evidence logs, internal audits and procedures.
  • Maintaining an extensive set of information security policies and procedures
  • Reviewing our current software and making future specifications and recommendations
  • Evaluating, selecting and implementing new information security technologies and technical measures as required
  • Managing compliance of our outsourced IT provider
  • Responsible for completion of Client Risk assessments as and when required
  • Control of our supplier assessment programme to ensure that all follow best practice
  • Be first point of contact for the reporting and resolution of data incidents
  • Management of our internal computer and mobile devices, assessing security risks and taking action as appropriate
  • Management of security features within cloud services, AWS and Microsoft 365
  • Full and timely preparation for the external audit process so that these are passed without issue
  • Looking for weak points in the system and securing them
  • Simulate security breaches to test procedures
  • Control of our disaster recovery plans
  • Enbed InfoSec best practice across the business with engaging training programmes, following through to ensure our principles are met by all personnel at all times
  • Information Security Manager Requirements:Essential:
  • Minimum 3 years full time experience in an information security role
  • Minimum degree level education, ideally in a related area
  • Good working knowledge of the requirements of ISO27001 gained from its implementation and its on-going maintenance
  • Knowledge of IT architecture and underpinning technologies and ability to be pragmatic and fit best practice into context of a growing, dynamic organisation
  • Experience of security auditing as well as day to day management of data security monitoring
  • Experience of designing security strategies in line with business requirements
  • Professional and efficient with integrity and care for both the big picture and the detail
  • Can use MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint with good keyboard skills
  • Able to remain focussed on completing responsibilities despite distractions, pressures or changes
  • Customer / client focused
  • Commercial – awareness of need to control costs and justify expenditure
  • Excellent written and spoken command of the English language
  • Desirable:
  • Professional security qualifications and certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA or equivalent
  • Ability to translate information security detail into processes and language that the whole company understands
  • Capable of multi-tasking, prioritising own workload
  • A demonstrable passion for quality control and attention to detail
  • Good organisation and time management skills. Ability to spot issues in advance
  • Focus on cause and effect to prevent errors and oversight
  • Self-motivated
