Job Description

What we are looking forThis role forms part of the Payroll’s service line structure ensuring our teams are more agile, ensuring thorough checking and quality standards, resource management and team support and development.As Trainee Processor you will be developed and supported to become responsible for the payrolls allocated to you by your team leader and Payroll Processors.Your team leader will ensure work is spread effectively and evenly across your team made up of Payroll Processors and Trainees. This will ensure client work is completed on time and to the highest quality standards, that resources are managed effectively reducing the need for excessive overtime, ensuring resource is focused in the correct way and that team members are fully supported and developed.Working towards becoming a Payroll Processor you will be undertaking a Level 3 qualification and will be fully supported by your team. Your work will be reviewed (every time) by a Payroll Processor to ensure accuracy before being sent to clients.You will have good people skills and respectful manner with team members and clients.You will communicate effectively with your team and clients.You will be given full support by your Team Leader to ensure your role is a success.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:The following areas are the key aspects of this role:Client work

  • Accurate data entry into Payroll database of sensitive and confidential client information in a timely manner and process payroll efficiently
  • Maintain master payroll records for Real Time Information purposes
  • Upload of pension files to the relevant providers
  • Completing payroll journals
  • General database maintenance
  • Comply at all times with the firm’s compliance, complaints and data security policies / procedures
  • To ensure that the firm’s clients are treated fairly at all times
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion at all times
  • Reviewing
  • You must ensure all your work is reviewed by a Processor or your Team Leader before being sent to the client#
  • Teamwork
  • Immediately report issues and concerns in respect of client work or any other issue to a Payroll Processor or Team Leader
  • Working with your team to meet client and service line needs ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met
  • Assist the team to ensure overall objectives are met and the continuous improvement of the payroll service line is achieved
  • Attend team meetings
  • Ensure your administrative tasks such as filing, timesheets, Virtual Cabinet etc. are completed on time and to the set procedures
  • Maintain positive working relationship with others, both internally and externally
  • Attend training and to develop relevant knowledge and skills
