Job Description

Due to internal movement we are currently recruiting for a Nights Quality Auditor to join our Spalding Technical team.This is a hands on role, providing support to the production areas to ensure we adhere to the company polices and standards correctly ensuring we meet relevant legal and customer requirements.

  • Maintenance of site HACCP documentation for product quality.
  • Audit of sites HACCP product quality system.
  • Audit the process against agreed standards/manufacturing specification.
  • Audit the sites process control system in operation and the associated paperwork
  • Audit the key process line activity of product attribute monitoring.
  • Audit the components of the companys QMS appropriate to the site.
  • Audit final product quality standards; organoleptic, packaging.
  • Taste panel sampling (together with nominated team) and shelf life monitoring.
  • Audit that the sites system for non-compliance and incident control are being effectively managed.
  • Audit the sites training procedures and achievement against plan

We produce coleslaw, potato salad, salad bar bulk products (2kg), pasta salads and couscous/grains for some of the biggest retailers in the UK. What we’re looking for
  • Experience of chilled manufacturing.
  • Confident to challenge non-compliant practices or behavioursin a busy factory environment.
  • Capable of communicating to a variety of people – from operatives to senior management and auditors.
  • Food hygiene – Level 2.
  • Health and Safety - Level 2.
  • Ideally HACCP Level 2 trained.
  • Allergen Awareness Training.
  • Previous auditing experience.
  • Understanding of good manufacturing practices.
  • Microbiological awareness – understanding of basic of food. safety
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications.
