Job Description

Due to internal movement we are looking for a Line Coordinatorfor our hygiene team. You will be responsible for stepping up for the Supervisor during periods of absence and holiday, as well as other ad-hoc cover as requested. You will be capable to working as part of the team, but able to delegate as required. You will be comfortable completing paperwork, escalating any issues where appropriate, and promoting a strong HSE culture.Your role will be to monitor and review the activities of a team of hygiene operatives to ensure that all sanitation processes are completed in full and that hygiene standards for a given area are maintained;

  • Ensure that the team has the right number of resources with the appropriate skills, implement and maintain training programme, to ensure that all team members have the skills and understanding necessary to successfully complete their role.
  • Direct and monitor the team’s delivery of the day to day hygiene activities, ensuring agreed standards and targets are met in conjunction with the Hygiene Supervisor and Manager,
  • Review equipment in accordance with procedure and highlight damage, escalating risks where necessary,
  • Conduct hygiene audits,
  • Complete risk assessment against hygiene standard,
  • Ensure that a safe working environment exists for colleagues and that as a minimum the department meets the standards set in the SHE Policy.

We produce coleslaw, potato salad, salad bar bulk products (2kg), pasta salads and couscous/grains for some of the biggest retailers in the UK. What we’re looking for
  • Food Hygiene NVQ level 2 or equivalent
  • Basic Health and Safety NVQ level 2 or equivalent
  • L2 HACCP
  • Allergen Awareness
  • Auditing
  • Chemical Handling (as per local site requirement)
  • Detailed understanding of the impact of legislation on day to day operations in relation to food safety.
  • Computer literate in Word, Excel
  • Previous experience in FMCG or similar hygiene role
  • Experience leading and working with a diverse workforce.
  • Detailed Familiarity with local SOPs
