Job Description

Key Account ManagerLincolnshireCompetitive Salary plus an attractive packageOur client is a specialist supplier of UK and imported fruit/fresh produce sourced from the very best growers in the UK around the world. They are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager, preferably with Fruit or Fresh Produce experience.Reporting to the Sales Controller, the Key Account Manager will actively champion the needs of the customer throughout our clients organisation. Internally and externally be the first point of contact.You will work in partnership with the Department Heads and Sourcing Managers in developing teamship across the Sales & Sourcing team, aligned to our clients strategic objectives and company values.You will own specific customer strategies and be heavily involved in strategy, category plans, sourcing and business processes.You will identify new business opportunities where the client can grow volume and margin that broaden existing UK product portfolio but are in synergy with broader group sourcing.Operationally involved in budget writing, weekly and monthly Turnover and P&L forecasts and reporting (for specified customers) Develop, support and maintain a dynamic, proactive working relationship with Sourcing ManagersNegotiate with customers to ensure that their needs are being met, their business is retained and that our client optimise any business development opportunitiesMandatory competencies and criteria. The post holder must have:- Excellent communication skills & experience, and be able to build strong relationships- Strategic planning skills & experience- Project management skills & experience- Extremely strong customer focus- Be capable of making tough complex decisions in short timescales- Good understanding of sales and financial data, and ability to communicate back through sales and sourcing; operations and supply chain and technical structures- Open mind in terms of new ways of working, continuous improvement, innovation- Outstanding negotiation skills- Experience working in FMCG (fresh food) sector, supplying major retailers, managing teams, and working directly with customers and suppliers- Good IT skillsIn return our client is offering an attractive basic salary with a very competitive package.
