Job Description

Forklift Driver - CounterbalanceWe are recruiting for Forklift (Counterbalance) Drivers in the Spalding area. Working for a recruitment agency on a market leading FMCG food production site.As a Forklift Driver you will need to:

  • Be fully trained to standard of RTITB & ITSSAR
  • Be numerate with ability to understand stock rotation and date control
  • Be safety conscious working in an area with pedestrians
  • Have ability to organise a small team
  • Understand chilled goods and the need to have them temperature controlled
    • Details:
  • Salary: £9.92 per hour; might go up to £10.53 if you have two licences (ie, also reach truck or bendi)
  • 4 on 4 off - nightshift
  • Location: Spalding
  • Duration: Ongoing
    • Role of a Forklift Driver:
  • Taking goods to the appropriate storage space
  • Operating a forklift to move and rearrange stock and ensure that products are stored
  • Operates handling equipment and ensures safety regulations are followed
  • Forklift Driver will be responsible for stock replenishment and put away in correct date order
  • Unloads Chillers & follows appropriate SOP for temperature recording
  • Performs other general warehouse duties as needed
  • Responsibility for hygiene and general tidiness of the blast chiller area
