Are you an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer (mechanically biased) who wants to earn good money working days (Monday to Friday). Youll get involved with projects for refurbishment / fitting / pre commissioning of industrial capital equipment / machineryfrom our site in Petersfield.BASIC SALARY: Up to £35,000BENEFITS: Holiday allowance rising with service Laptop / MobileLOCATION: Petersfield, HampshireCOMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Portsmouth, Eastleigh, Southampton, Alton, Andover, Basingstoke, Guildford, ChichesterJOB DESCRIPTION: Mechanical Workshop Engineer - Electrical - Fitter - Refurbishment - CommissioningBased at our large facility in Petersfield, this is a workshop based Mechanical Fitter / Modification / Refurbishment / Pre-commissioning engineering role of new and pre-owned Industrial Capital Equipment.This is a hands on multi skilled (but mechanically biased) engineering role, working alongside Project Managers - typically on one project to completion. Your week is planned for you - you just need to hit your deadlines and complete tasks on schedule.Responsibilities include: Preparing new machinery for FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and installation at customers site Refurbishment of used machinery, including fault finding, repainting and rebuilding Supporting our aftersales team in spares identification and stock controlThere will also be very occasional visits to client sites to support commissioning / installation.PERSON SPECIFICATION: Mechanical Workshop Engineer - Electrical - Fitter - Refurbishment - CommissioningYou DONT have to be an Engineer with a track record of working on industrial capital equipment to apply for this role.Were very open on your background. If youve worked as a Fitter / Assembler, Maintenance / Service Engineer, Workshop Engineer or anything where youre hands-on with Mechanical Equipment - we want to hear from you. This can have come from a wide variety ofsectors, such as Industrial Capital Equipment / Forklifts / Automotive / Materials Handling / Marine / Oil & Gas etc etc.Electrically, you should be happy doing a little rewiring - so a knowledge of electrical principals will suffice.
