Job Description

Network Professional have been tasked by a leading Environmental Consultancy Firm to identify an Energy/Building Physics Consultant for their rapidly-expanding business located in East Hampshire/West Surrey. Your CompanyAs companies begin to think in more efficient terms when concerning sustainability, the requirement for personnel who can advise and consult on strategies to lower the carbon footprint are increasingly in demand. This company have and are currently working on a number of projects, primarily within the construction sector, where the reduction of non-renewable energy sources are imperative. Alongside this, assessing building performance through its physical structure, and how this affects its sustainability, are becoming key areas of consideration.Your Role & Responsibilities Typical duties and responsibilities for this role will include, but not be limited to:* Devising and planning models for the overall reduction of non-sustainable energy sources* Planning and outlining key areas of improvement and providing necessary solutions to existing projects* Identifying key areas for future plans and developments where energy usage can be monitored and lowered* Assessing and providing advice on the overall structure, integrity and efficiency of building design and its physics* Generating plans and models for future construction projects where building integrity and energy usage in tandem are optimal* Communicating with management and senior stakeholders on designs and models for future construction projects* Providing advice on green-building design, construction and facility improvementsWhat Do You Need to ApplyThe possession of a relevant degree, such as Engineering, Physics or Architecture will greatly aid a candidates application, as will prior experience within Energy & Sustainability career choices. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an understanding of building performance, energy generation and/or building services and energy modelling using software such as Integrated Environmental Solutions (IES) or Integrated Simplified Building Energy Model (ISBEM). Knowledge of computer graphic design applications such as CAD or Rhino will be looked upon favourably, but are not essential.
