Job Description

MTrec Recruitment are currently recruiting for a manufacturing company in the Peterlee area. We are looking for candidates who want to work in an Engineering Environment. The role would see you carrying out general duties.Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Daily meetings with the Team Leader or Supervisor to discuss workload
  • To help prioritise workloads within the Department / designated Production Line
  • Setting and operating press machinery
  • Responsible for pressing and folding metal components
  • Working with materials such as aluminium and steel
  • Read and interpret shop orders, drawings and diagrams
  • Verify correct raw material or work in progress material
  • Set-up and operate press brakes without assistance using bend allowances
  • Responsible for maintaining quality workmanship and tolerance specifications
  • Responsible for filling out paperwork associated with work performed
  • Adherence to strict tolerances
  • To carry out a variety of different duties if required, as set by the Team Leader
  • To maintain the companys health & safety standards at all times; including general housekeeping duties such as keeping your work station tidy
The Person:
  • A positive attitude and are willing to learn more skills on the job
  • Confidence on the job and are happy to take on more responsibility if necessary
  • Experience in press operating and setting
  • Experience of writing programmes
  • Relevant experience in the engineering environment

The Hours:
  • Monday - Thursday 07:00 - 16:00
  • Friday 07:00 - 11:00
The Pay:
  • £15
  • Overtime is 30%
