Your New RoleNigel Wright are delighted to be working with anational wholesaler and distributor going through an exciting period of change and growth.They are seeking to recruit a Management Accountant to join their Finance team, based in Peterlee.This role plays a pivotal part within the finance team, supporting the FC in strengthening reporting capabilities, Month End process and invaluable support withinthe wider team.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs the Management Accountant you will be responsible for:o Tracking all supplier claims and making appropriate prepayments/accrualso Tracking all customer rebates, making accruals and checking validity of customer claimso Completion of Balance Sheet Reconciliations, owning, monitoring and addressing reconciling items, identifying risks and opportunitieso Oversee supplier reconciliations and resolving supplier queries in a timely mannero Support production of the month end accounts including variance analysis and general month end checkso Reconciling monthly charges to the general ledgero Reviewing monthly invoices and posting journals as requiredo Assisting with the production of the monthly reporting packo Interrogating inventory adjustmentso Support AP and AR teams with querieso Ledger close checkso Managing and improving accounting controls and processeso Support in annual budget settingo Support in annual auditso All other ad hoc finance duties required.You Will Be/Have•Someone who has had some experience within an Assistant Management Accountant position, and has a positive, proactive approach to learning and supporting the wider team.• Strong excel skills are a must and must have the ability to problem solve and work autonomously.• Preferable AAT Qualified/Studying towards CIMA/ACCA or QBE.Benefits•Salary - £35,000 circa• 25 days + Bank Holidays• The role is hybrid (minimum 3 days in the office) based, at their offices in Peterlee.• Life Assurance• Healthcare Cashplan• Employee Well-being support• Pension Salary Sacrifice
