Job Description

HR AdvisorThe Protective Care Group was established to provide bespoke, tailor-made support for young people with severe and complex needs, particularly those exhibiting highly challenging behaviour. We specialise in providing a level of support that local authoritiesare often unable to; support that makes a real difference to somebodys quality of life and future prospects. Aligned with our Regional Leads and working alongside our HR Team based in Gloucestershire, youll head up HR and ER in the North East of Englandwith support from our administrative and welfare specialists.As a true partner to our people:

Some of the headlines:
  • Help others rise to their best by coaching, advising, and supporting a team of regional and team managers on core people topics including development, performance, engagement, absence management, change facilitation and leadership. Youll help us get betterand better at what we do.
  • Managing a case-load of complex ER cases, providing guidance and practical support to our team of Managers, supporting them through a range of HR interventions and processes.
  • Facilitating and often leading with mediation, disciplinary and grievance proceedings in a kind, considerate but effective way.
  • Encouraging and ensuring consistent and appropriate application of HR policies and practices.
  • Initially supporting managers with developing their 1-2-1 and employee appraisal skills.
  • Helping to identify future talent and work in support of promotions and job role changes.
RequirementsAbout you:Were a collaborative, busy bunch and we have lots of fun, but we get the job done. The most important thing were looking for is someone who grasps why we do what we do and who wants to make a real difference to others lives.Youll have solid experience at HR or ER Advisor level and be level 5 CIPD qualified, or equivalent by experience.
