Job Description

Role: Harness TechnicianRate: Up to £39,978 plus regular overtime and monthly bonusesJob Type: 12 month fixed term assignment** 5% pay rise on all below rates as of 1st October!**Harness Technicians, are you looking to work in a fantastic, modern environment Great rates of pay and long term stabilityYou can grow your skills as we place you on an assignment into Caterpillar Articulated Trucks, Peterlee in a challenging and quality driven manufacturing environment on a 12 month fixed assignment.Job requirements

  • Produce Technical reports on repairs and condition of harnesses
  • Daily completion of maintenance software system(Agility) on repairs to harnesses
  • Repairs and testing of Binzel & Bernard hand held manual Harnesses
  • Repairs and testing of Cloos, Fronius & Bernard robotic Harnesses
  • Programming of weld parameters to manual weld sets
  • Trend analysis of repeat issues
  • Assist in the development of specifications for new equipment
  • Assist in the training and development of support roles to provide contingency for Harness repairs if necessary.
  • Compiling historic data using Agility.
Skills / Experience
  • Experience of heavy fabrications, inc. MIG welding experience, or relative experience in a heavy fabrication environment.
  • Experience in the use of hand tools and test equipment
  • Experience in following and adapting PPM systems.
  • Must be self-motivated, flexible (able to work across 3 shifts)
  • Basic electrical understanding is beneficial.
Pay Rates:Start rate is dependent on experience and qualifications. Opportunities to move through the pay grade system which is reviewed every 6 months.Grade 1 Full Rate -
  • £16.55 per hour day shift
  • £19.86 per hour afternoon shift
  • £22.34 per hour night shift
  • £24.83 per hour overtime Monday to Saturday
  • £33.10 per hour overtime Sundays
M1 Rate -
  • £17.05 per hour day shift
  • £20.46 per hour afternoon shift
  • £23.02 per hour night shift
  • £25.58 per hour overtime Monday to Saturday
  • £34.10 per hour overtime Sundays
M2 Rate -
  • £17.80 per hour day shift
  • £21.36 per hour afternoon shift
  • £24.03 per hour night shift
  • £26.70 per hour overtime Monday to Saturday
  • £35.60 per hour overtime Sundays
