Job Description

RMS - Resource Management Solutions are currently recruiting a Finance Manager on behalf of our client, a global company based in PeterleeA permanent position, this is an exciting opportunity to join a company who are a fast paced manufacturer at the forefront of their industryWorking Hours are: Mon to Thurs 8am - 4.30pm, Friday 8am - 3.30pmNotable benefits for this position include:

  • Role Overview:Deliver accurate and timely information to support business decisions to maximise gross profit for the BU. To ensure appropriate cost estimations prepared to support business decisions. To direct the indirect purchasing department to maintain plant production at the best cost for the businessWorking in a fast paced dynamic environment you will be responsible for a busy finance team of 11 while reporting to the European Plant ControllerDay to Day duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Budget, forecasting and MTP
  • Supporting integration and utilisation of finance systems
  • Capital reporting and decision making
  • Cost and gross profit analysis
  • Manage the finance team to ensure accurate and timely accounts are prepared
  • Provide forecast analysis to determine impact of decision making for the BU
  • Manage reporting timetables to ensure adherence to Group requirements
  • Manage internal and external compliance
  • Review financial results with local and group management
  • Manage the indirect purchasing department to maintain supply to production.
  • Review cost down opportunities to support both cost and quality
  • Manage the cost estimation process to ensure appropriate cost estimates are prepared in a timely basis
  • Ensure the relevant systems are fully integrated and ensure the costs are accurate within the various systems
  • Review/prepare cost forecasts and analysis of cost movements and impact on the gross profit
  • To be considered this position you must:Skills, Knowledge and Experience
  • CIMA, ACCA qualified
  • IT skills including Microsoft Office products
  • Analytical and Organisational skills to allow working to tight deadlines
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Minimum five years accountancy experience
  • Minimum three years in management accounting environment
  • Experience with internal controls
  • Experience in liaising with corporate external bodies
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment would be advantageousFor more information, please contact:
