Job Description

Central Employment are delighted to be working with an established FMCG distribution organisation based in Peterlee, as they look to appoint a Data Administrator.The role of Data Administrator is to create, organise & maintain data for use by all departments within the company, focusing on Stock, Customer and Supplier data. You will need to have experience working in a similar Data Administration role, or can demonstratehow your experience in other roles would equip you with the necessary capabilities for this type of work.Profile of the Data Administrator role:

  • Ideally, we are looking for Graduate calibre candidates who are capable of working with minimal supervision as you will largely be responsible for your own workload management.
  • You will also need to have excellent communications skills as you will need to liaise with colleagues in every department, external IT support organisations, and Group personnel
  • The role involves processing a lot of detailed information and will need to be someone who can focus amid a lot of activity
  • You must therefore be proficient at the use of computerised systems and be able to use Microsoft Office programs.
  • The company is implementing a new ERP system, and part of the duties will be to help filter and map existing Stock, Customer & Supplier data across to the new system, with help from external IT support specialists.
  • The company recognises the importance of this role, not just for the current systems project, but in effectively maintaining key date for the future, hence why this role has been created.
  • We do not expect anyone to have knowledge of our products and full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
  • Helping to analyse and filter existing data
  • Helping to create mapping for existing data for transfer to the new ERP system
  • Create and maintain new data structures
  • Extract and organise data for Group reporting functions
  • Updating the business system with product prices and specifications
  • Producing department reports on a regular basis
  • Project Management
  • Implementation of internal data maintenance processes
  • Data inputting and checking
