Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our manufacturing firm on a 12-month fixed term contract. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing our financial processes, ensuring accurate recordingand reporting of financial transactions, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization. 1. Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and generating reports.
2. Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
3. Conduct regular financial analysis, highlighting trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
4. Maintain and monitor the companys fixed asset register, ensuring proper recording and depreciation of assets.
5. Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
6. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, providing financial insights and recommendations.
7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as operations and management teams, to provide financial guidance and support.
8. Assist in the implementation and improvement of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
9. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legal requirements, and company policies.
10. Participate in the external audit process, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors.
11. Support ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.

Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable.
2. Proven experience working as an Accountant, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
4. Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems. Experience with QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms is advantageous.
5. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets and perform financial analysis.
6. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and analysis.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.
8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
9. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
10. Familiarity with cost accounting and inventory management principles is a plus.
