Job Description

It takes an exceptional and dedicated person to be a Care Assistant. It is physically and emotionally demanding, but the job satisfaction makes it all worthwhile. Search Nursing and Social Care is currently seeking experienced Care Assistants to work on an agency basis to provide the highest quality of care and support to our clients based in Aberdeen City and the surrounding areas. The pay is £8.75 to £16 per hour.As an agency Care Assistant, you will ideally have had experience in the NHS or as a healthcare assistant or support worker. Youll also need to be willing to take on flexible working hours. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • All aspects of personal care, assisting with feeding, bathing, washing and dressing.
  • Carrying out weight checks and blood pressure checks.
  • Record-keeping on all charts (feeding, activity, etc.) and following care plans specific to individuals needs.
  • Getting to know clients and their interests and needs and helping them lead as independent a life as possible.
    • Based in the Aberdeen City area and earning £8.75 to £16 per hour, youll also be willing to prepare meals, ensuring a balanced diet, undertake household and cleaning tasks, encourage social interaction and take on any other responsibilities outlined in the care/support plan.
