Job Description

Our client is looking for a Wireless Network Analyst based in Peterborough. Initial 12-month contract, with the possibility of being extend for the right person.Working with a globally diverse team, you will be involved in wireless expansion projects, break fix, surveys, design, wireless strategies, and implementation, also supporting WLAN across Europe, Africa, and Middle East.Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve WLAN hardware, software, or network and system problems.
  • Maintain and administer WLAN and connectivity of network components.
  • Implementing WLAN processes, or WLAN process improvements.
  • Testing and user acceptance of WLAN infrastructure components.
  • Network WLAN technical problem identification and resolution including WLAN implementation, and off-shift and weekend WLAN and site support functions.
  • Wireless LAN support role as part of a larger WLAN and LAN team
  • Representing and communicating WLAN changes and incidents in Divisional and Enterprise Change advisory Boards.
  • WLAN hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
  • Replace defective WLAN components, when necessary, on/off-shift and during weekends.
  • Knowledge of CISCO wireless equipment.
  • WLAN implementation and support, knowledge of risk domains, tiered domains, TCP/IP fundamentals, ethernet, QoS, IP subnetting, cabling (copper & fiber), OSPF, VLAN Trunking, VLANs, and switching configuration.
About you:Experience is key with this role; however, the successful applicant will hold a CCNA qualification, CCNP and experience with EKAHAU or similar is desirable. Must have knowledge of configuration commands, software and hardware components related to WLAN.Be proactive, and work on your own initiative, be involved in the team, but also work independently.Remote working will be allowed, but you must live within a commutable distance to be on site when required.Full valid driving licence, travel to different sites may be required.Please email me with your CV and covering letter, detailing your experience and why you think you would be suitable for this role, and I will be in touch soon.Job Title - Wireless Network AnalystLocation - Peterborough UKType - Contract - Hybrid - Core hours 08.00 - 16.30 with flexibility around theseSalary - Negotiable DOE
