Job Description

Modeller to Principal Modeller levelSalary dependant on skills and experience Full time/37 hrs a week/permanent/hybrid working Location: Peterborough, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Huntingdon, Lincoln, Norwich, ColchesterJoin us in our quest to Deliberately Deliver Differently!Anglian Water offers a flexible approach, these roles provide you with the flexibility to work from home and from an Anglian Water office. Base locations will be in one of our main offices and the expectation is to work in the office a couple of days a week.We are looking for hydraulic modellers experienced in the following disciplines:

  • Water Network Modelling (Synergi, Infoworks WS Pro)
  • Wastewater Network Modelling (Infoworks ICM)
  • Surge/Transient Modelling (Wanda, VarisSim, OpenFlows HAMMER)
  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Modelling (Ansys Fluent/CFX, Flow3D, OpenFoam)
The Asset Intelligence Modelling & Simulation Team leads the fluid modelling capability for Anglian Water. We have a number of positions available within the team, using hydraulic models to analyse and understand network performance and risk issues to ensureand promote innovative, effective and efficient solutions.What does it take to be a Hydraulic ModellerTo join us in our quest to consistently deliver modelling excellence to our customers, youll possess experience in one or more of the Modelling disciplines listed above. With a technical expertise of modelling tools and capabilities, youll be able to bringcomplex information to life to a non-engineering audience through your strong communication and reporting skills.You will be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline or able to demonstrate equivalent relevant experience. Chartered or working towards chartership or accreditation with a professional body.We are looking for Modellers who have a capability of providing technical and accountable support and leadership in the delivery of challenging complex, system based and strategic modelling projects across the asset management lifecycle with multiple stakeholdergroups.Were looking for experience in the disciplines and software listed above as well as knowledge of building and calibrating hydraulic models and a deep understanding of hydraulic principles.If you are shortlisted for an interview you will be asked to present a summary of your modelling experience and understanding in your area of expertise.If your modelling experience is not extensive, but you have an engineering background and keen interest in developing modelling knowledge - please get in touch as this is a good foundation for a career in hydraulic modelling.As a valued employee youll be entitled to:
