Job Description

Outstanding opportunity to join a growing ambitious organisation as Warehouse Supervisor. Following appointment of a new Operations Manager, we are now looking to create a highly effective operations team and the post of Warehouse Supervisoris the first new role in the team.Reporting into the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor works in partnership with the Production Supervisor supporting the Operations Manager in the adoption of improved and highly efficient warehouse operations. Previous peoplemanagement experience is a must!You will work closely with the Production Supervisor to ensure teams are aligned, instructions are consistent and clear and that you can cover for each other when needed. You will be a key holder and as such a key part of management operations.Working Monday to Friday 7.30 - 5.00 with occasional extra hours over peak, you will line manage the warehouse team to ensure accuracy of all stock by:

  • Undertaking regular cycle counts collating data relating to stock issues and implement ideas and solutions for improvement.
  • Control and organise highly efficient warehouse and container picking locations.
  • Ensure the accuracy of goods in inventory and shipments including quality control of products.
  • Ensure staff training records are up to date.
  • Organise weekly load plans.
  • Ensure safe working practices in line with H & S legislation and given procedures.
  • Deputise for the production supervisor.
  • Engage and support the sales and accounts team in full.
You must have previous experience working in a busy warehouse and demonstrate previous experience supervising teams. The organisation prides itself on getting things right first time, so you must demonstrate the intent to work to high standards and holdyour team accountable for the same.The system runs a full ERP system so you must be computer literate and be able to handle large data sets accurately. Previous experience of working with a WMS is essential.You will be fully supported as you transition into your new role, with opportunity for further learning and development once you are fully integrated and working to your potential.Benefits include:
