Job Description

Vehicle PainterLocation : PeterboroughSalary : £29000- £33000 ote £35000-£45000Vehicle PainterWorking as part of production, you will help maintain the high standards our clients customers expect. The job is challenging and interesting, with a lot of variation.Duties to include:With guidance as required be expected to perform tasks below, not necessarily related to the painter processes. Such as, but not limited to:-

  • Blasting of parts ready for paint
  • Take ownership of area and paint/blast projects in support of the production line.
  • Use dry media blast equipment and prepare surfaces as required to produce quality finishes using a two pack-one coat system.
  • SMART repairs to chassis and cabs during production
  • Assist with General "fitting" duties on vehicles.
  • Required to support production team and demonstrate the ability to work within a team,
  • Communicating effectively.
  • Cleaning /valeting of vehicles
General duties:
  • Factory & fabrication area cleaning, to include common areas
  • Grinding/light fabrication
  • Operate forklift as required.
  • Production vehicle movements
  • Stores duties as required
  • Be flexible in approach to the job and be willing and able to perform other tasks outside normal duties.
The Candidate:
  • Willingness to listen and learn and develop
  • Have all prepping and paint spraying skills
  • An enthusiastic and positive approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work as part of a team and also as an individual
  • Willingness to take responsibility
  • Knowledge of compliance and ethics
  • Strong work ethic
  • Able to use their initiative
We offer:
  • Basic salary £29-33,000
  • OTE £35-£45,000
  • Company profit share bonus scheme (minimum 1-year service to qualify)
