A leading multi model logistics business is looking for a Transport Planner to join their Peterborough office. As an experienced Transport Planner you will assist in planning routes; managing drivers and ensuring the fleet are maintained. The role will beon a permanent night shift.As a Transport Planner you will assist with the day to day running of vehicles to ensure prompt and on time deliveries to customers. You will be required to update transport systems to track vehicle, trailer and job status to meet delivery timings. You willensure vehicles and trailers are serviced and MOTd before being used and assist drivers in managing their hours and break requirements to be compliant at all times. You will also be required to assist drivers and customers with queries and any issues thatarise during a route.The right candidate will have similar experience in a transport environment; ideally with knowledge of containers. Ideally the person will be confident; strong communicator and able to work under pressure. It would also be an advantage if you have worked withTransport Software.The role will be based in their Peterborough depot and the working hours will be on a permanent night shift working 4 on 4 off; 6pm - 6am. Some flexibility will be required during the training period. On offer is a salary of £30,000 - £35,000 per annum dependingon experience as well as a number of company benefits.
