Job Description

Transport Planner, Salary: up to £24k + benefits package & career opportunities, Based: PeterboroughWe have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join the market leading national provider of Portable cabins, Secure Storage Solutions, Modular buildings and associated products for hire and sale. The ideal candidate will have experience in asimilar Transport Planner role with knowledge of traffic management systems (Paragon, Jobwatch, roadrunner, SAP CRM, Maxoptra).The role:The Transport Planner will be responsible for the planning of resources and routes leading to the most effective delivery of services and maintaining excellent levels of communication with internal and external customers.

  • Carry out the planning of Tanker services and Fencing deliveries/collections to agreed KPIs ensuring cost effective, efficient routes
  • Whenever necessary, liaise with clients, contractors, and regional or national authorities
  • Identify issues & provide resolutions quickly so not to impact on performance ensuring customers are contacted where necessary
  • Manage relationship with subcontractors to ensure allocated workload is delivered in line with agreed SLA
  • Share knowledge to improve service performance
  • Embrace and live a customer service culture within the team
