Job Description

Have you got experience with off-highway equipment We are looking for a Test & Validation Engineer to join a global manufacturing company based in Peterborough, on a 12-month contract.Experience is key in this role, working closely with the technicians you will be involved in a variety of engine installation and test projects into off-highway machines and generator sets. Primarily covering mechanical and electrical engine to machine integration,shakedown, and testing.Military experience will be considered.Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Adhere to the Organisations health and safety policy and safe working practices.
  • Effectively manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Diagnose and fix a range of faults on both diesel engine and machines.
  • Work from engineering drawings (electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic)
  • Produce electrical looms and drawings to interface engine and machine.
  • Travel to various off-site test and development facilities.
  • Collection, analysis, and reporting of technical test data.
  • Undertake training and further learning as required.
About you:The successful applicant will hold a relevant qualification, with demonstrable experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical/electronic systems with a good working knowledge of engines, machines, and system integration.Previous experience in an off high-way test and development environment is desirable.You must be organised and able to communicate at all levels effectively across a global environment.
