Job Description

Salary: £9.00-£13.00 depending on the shifts and experience.Working Hours: Flexible.Start Date: Immediate Start - Subject to successful applicationWe are looking for experienced, confident and reliable Support workers. You will need good communication skills and the ability to work in a variety of healthcare settings providing advanced notice and short notice cover.You will work as a member of a team in maintaining and delivering a high standard of resident care. You will implement and effectively assist in the day-to-day running of all prescribed resident care packages and assist in the meeting of all their basiccare needs. You will be expected to work to a high level under the supervision of qualified nursing staff.Essential skills required for Support WorkersSkills/abilities:- Ability to uses own initiative, plan own work and prioritise a patients care needs , Ability to work without direct supervision , Ability to work within a team , Good communication skills , Motivated to learn , Maintainsa mature attitude , Possesses a responsible attitude.Knowledge:- Knowledge of care giving , Has an empathy and understanding of issues encountered by patients with care needs.Essential Training/ education:- Desirable MAPA training, Evidence of relevant statutory and mandatory training; Manual Handling, First Aid, Basic Life support, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene/Infection Control, Nutrition and HydrationExperience:- Recent experience of caring for patients.Other requirements:- Ability to travel to varying work locations during unsocial hours.Benefits:

  • Undergo a full enhanced DBS check or Evidence of Online DBS check
  • Require two professional references

Preferably Applicant must have:
  • Minimum of 6 months experience into care sector within the UK
  • Vaccination
Desirable:
  • UK Driving License
  • Flexible working hours
