About the RoleFletton Avenue is a bright, spacious Edwardian property in the Cathedral town of Peterborough, Cambridgeshire providing a specialist residential service for adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). The friendly, dedicated team take a person centred approachto support each individuals bespoke needs. The focus is on inclusion, having fun and being a part of the local community.With its own transport and good local transport links, people can easily participate in activities and clubs which match their interests such as archery, football, basketball and swimming. Individuals naturally develop their social skills through all themany activities which take place at Fletton including arts and crafts, darts, pool, and bingo to name a few.Youll be responsible for supporting an inclusive lifestyle within the community as individuals attend local colleges or day trips out. Develop greater independence and daily living skills by assisting with the upkeep of the service, preparing meals, shoppingand domestic duties. Providing help with personal care such as washing, bathing and dressing whilst working across various shift patterns including early, late and weekend and night shifts.If you enjoy working as part of a team, are patient and caring with a positive attitude and are looking to join a growing organisation with great benefits, we would love to hear from you. You may be new to care or already have experience in the sector as a Support Worker, Care Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Care Giver.
