Job Description

Salary:From £12.13 per hourShifts / Hours:Monday to Friday - 8am to 4.30pm Quest Employment is recruiting forSupply Chain Administratorroles on a temporary ongoing basis based in Orton Southgate, Peterborough. To be considered for theSupply Chain Administratorrole all candidates must be hardworking,ambitious, target driven, flexible, and have a good eye for detail. The successful candidate will be supporting the Supply Chain processes by working alongside Planning, Purchasing & Finance colleagues to ensure efficient procurement of raw materials, packaging,and 3rd party bought-in products. Candidates must have a good level of English speaking, reading, and writing.Our client is an international manufacturer and distributor of breakfast cereals. Our client is a growing company with many opportunities in a new purpose-built site based in Orton Southgate, Peterborough. The site operates 24/7 so organisation needs tobe split over this timeframe.Main responsibilities & duties will include:

  • Ensuring Purchase orders are correctly raised using the approved supplier database
  • Working closely with the Planning controller to monitor stock levels and ensure the production plan is not shorted
  • Liaise, monitor and track with suppliers on an approved database
  • Continuously look to improve supply chain processes
  • Work effectively and efficiently with cross-functional teams, including those from NPD, Technical, Operations, Warehouse, Sales, and Production.
  • Produce reports and statistics to measure KPIs - Key Performance Indicators, to demonstrate the company is achieving key business objectives
Key skills required:
  • Experience in procurement and/or production planning in a food or drink manufacturing industry
  • A great standard of numeracy, literacy, and negotiating skills
  • Previous knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially MS Excel
  • Financial awareness and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills and customer focus
  • Proven ability to successfully work alone and within a team
  • The ability to be self-motivated, reliable, and enthusiastic
  • A keen eye on attention to detail
