Are you a Structural Engineer looking to join a new design team in Northampton, with hybrid / flexible working As the technical lead for all structural surveys and designs for our market leading overhead factory cranes and gantry structures this is a realopportunity to progress your career and develop your skills.BASIC SALARY: Up to £50,000BENEFITS: · Flexible, hybrid work. · 25 days holiday + Bank holidays · Employer pension contribution of 4% (5% employee) · LOCATION: NorthamptonCOMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Milton Keynes, Wellingborough, Rushden, Daventry, Towcester, Bedford, Rugby, Market Harborough, Kettering, Corby, Newport Pagnell, Coventry, Cambridge, Oxford, Leicester, Luton, Peterborough, BirminghamWHY SHOULD YOU APPLY· Youll work on bespoke and cutting-edge projects. · Its a brand-new role with the chance to work with a growing team. · Youll have the opportunity for hybrid / flexible working.JOB DESCRIPTION: Structural Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, Design Engineer, Civil Structural Engineer, Civil Engineer - Structural SteelIn this critical Structural Engineer role youll be the primary approver for all structural calculations, which will have a significant impact across our business.Youll be responsible for improving the structural design process and efficiencies of our small,but very busy engineering design office.Youll be involved in: · Creating calculation packs for our world leading Crane and Hoist Systems. · Carrying out customer site survey visits. · Communicating effectively with clients and suppliers to ensure smooth order flow.In short, youll be the go-to person for anything and all things Structural.PERSON SPECIFICATION: Structural Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, Design Engineer, Civil Structural Engineer, Civil Engineer - Structural SteelYoure already qualified to degree level or equivalent in Structural Engineering or a related field and have a proven track record of project delivery.You will also:· Be able to create detailed calculation packs and have CAD systems experience to design 2D & 3D Parts and assemblies (Tekla is preferred although not essential as full training will be provided). · Show confidence in your work when discussing projects with various clients. · Be able to work from heights on customer site visits. · Have experience in steel fabrication and a good understanding of the manufacturing process.THE COMPANY:Since 1994 weve specialised in the design, manufacturing, and testing of overhead factory cranes & gantry structures.
