Job Description

Are you passionate about sports and dedicated to promoting physical education in young children We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Sports Coach/PE Specialist to join our team and deliver high-quality PE lessons to pupils with additional needs inschools. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire and motivate students to develop a love for sports, enhance their physical skills, and promote a healthy and active lifestyle.Responsibilities:• Prepare, and deliver engaging, suitable PE lessons for young people aged 5-16 years.• Teach a range of sports and activities, ensuring inclusivity and catering to various skill levels.• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth.• Deliver age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and educational objectives.• Monitor and review students progress, providing constructive feedback and implementing strategies for improvement.• Promote the importance of regular physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices.Requirements:• Relevant qualifications in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field.• Experience working with primary school children, delivering PE lessons, or coaching sports teams.• Strong knowledge of a wide range of sports, including but not limited to football, basketball, athletics, gymnastics, and swimming.• Ability to adapt lessons to accommodate diverse student needs and abilities.• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.• A positive and encouraging approach to teaching, promoting self-confidence and self-esteem.• Organizational skills to plan and manage schedules, equipment, and resources effectively.• Understanding of child safeguarding and the ability to create a safe and inclusive environment.Additional Information:This is a full-time position, term-time only.The successful candidate may be required to travel to different locations within the local area.A valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation is preferred.Safeguarding training and a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required.If you are passionate about sports, have a strong commitment to promoting physical education, and enjoy working with young children, we would love to hear from you.
