Software Developer Photocentric Ltd based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire and Phoenix, USA is an award-winning innovator in 3D printing. We have invented a patented new method of 3D printing that we are starting to disrupt the way things are made, worldwide. We manufacture our own 3D printers and resins in Peterborough and export all over the world. Our innovative company is growing rapidly and as a result we are now searching for a talented Software Developerwith experience of 3D Geometry and 3D Graphics.Key Responsibilities of our Software Developer include: - Working in conjunction with the Software Manager to deliver software solutions for 3D printers- Developing relationships and working closely with internal engineers the marketing functions and customers to understand requirements and provide solutions accordingly.- Be responsible for the research and development of key software components, modules, and frameworks to develop both bespoke and generic products to support 3D printing and associated processes. This will cover geometric definition software to help prepare prints and also the development of web based systems to management and monitor printing on an industrial scale.- Develop automated software updating processes.- Work in line with company product design methodology and deliver in line with the full software development cycle (Analysis, Requirements, Design, Implementation, Testing)- Using knowledge of wider technological and business trends (e.g. IoT) contribute to continuous improvement within the Engineering function overall- To contribute to developing testing plans and automated testing- Be responsible for the research and development of key software components, modules, and frameworks to develop both bespoke and generic products to support 3D printing and associated processesSkills and Experience required of our Software Developer:- 3 years minimum experience in Software Development- Proven experience of 3D Geometry and 3D Graphics- Knowledge of Windows 10/ Linux, Git, IDE’s (VSCode/MSVStudio/Eclipse).- Knowledge of TypeScript/JavaScript C++ and HTML /Web UI design- Software Development/Computer Science Graduate or related subject with experience of solid 3D geometry and/or 3D graphics, the ‘GLs’- Will consider engineering or other numerate graduate with proven commercial software development- Good communication with technical and non technical people to gain understanding of requirements.
