Job Description

Senior Web DeveloperSalary: £36,000 to £40,000 per annumLocation: Peterborough - Hybrid (Peterborough/Remote)Interview: 2 November 2022The VacancyCentral Office staff work closely with schools, offering a wealth of expertise to underpin schools own knowledge. Our specialist departments, including HR, finance, technology, strategy and performance, estates, and marketing, work alongside dedicated schoolimprovement teams. By joining us, you will provide ongoing support to schools, ultimately improving the outcomes of our pupils.The role:Would you like to be part of a dynamic team in an exciting and fulfilling role that makes a difference to the lives of young people, every dayIn this role you will work alongside the web development manager and a team of junior developers and support staff. Youll be responsible for the development, maintenance and support of the group content management system based on Microsoft technology, aswell as working on a wide variety of projects and websites for our central office and over 80 schools within the Group.Must have demonstrable software development experience in:

  • DNN (or equivalent CMS).
  • ASP.NET MVC.
  • C# (or similar language).
  • HTML.
  • JavaScript.
  • CSS.
Desirable but not essential:
  • Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Linq.
  • jQuery.
  • Blazor.
  • Net Core.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with staff at schools and central office to understand requirements for new and existing websites.
  • Analyse requirements for new websites or new/modified features in existing websites.
  • Develop new website applications, add features and make modifications to existing websites.
  • Provide third-line support to end users of the CMS.
  • Provide mentoring and support for junior team members.
  • Create and maintain documentation of developed software and processes.
  • Engage in professional development to broaden skillset.
