Position: Senior Project Manager Location: Peterborough (With Agile Working)Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 (DOE) Car/Allowance, Bonus and Excellent PackageOur Client:Is an integrated design and build solution provider operating in the water sector. They have over 1,000 staff working across eight regional centres, primarily supporting six long term water sector frameworks operating both on their own and increasingly injoint ventures and alliances.Working within a Framework JV, made up of seven partner companies and their extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Waters capital investment programme. The framework is in its latest Asset Management Period, known as AMP7 which will thedelivery of a £1.4bn programme of work over the next five years.Our client is looking to strengthen their programme portfolio for delivery with several talented, enthusiastic and experienced Project Mangers.Duties:Youll lead and own a group of projects and develop delivery strategies before presenting and obtaining client approval through to handover. Youll oversee the design, construction, commissioning and after care of all projects to agreed handover timeframesand standards in a fast paced, demanding yet highly rewarding environment.All of this, whilst delivering first class customer service and always looking at creative ways of adopting new ways of working and technology to truly add value.Key responsibilities:Lead and own the end-to-end processes of a group of projects ensuring alignment with a range of outcomes and objectives by adopting various approaches to achieve and maximise outperformance.Ensure that Health & Safety, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) is considered during the development and implementation of strategies, projects, standards and processes and never compromised at any stage.Create, develop and sustain a high performing team where you coach and train individuals to meet career aspirations and enhance team and organisational output and capabilities.Lead on proactive, engaging and transparent stakeholder management which champions collaboration and professional challenge to achieve desired outcomes for all parties.Establish a commercial strategy (including procurement) for the optimum delivery of a portfolio of work.Take an active leadership approach to balance an acceptable risk with an acceptable cost; implement timely and appropriate mitigation strategies where required.Ensure the team follow the appropriate Governance processes and procedures in order to appropriately establish, manage and control projects.Experience:Engineering qualificationAPMP qualification (desirable)Significant experience at Project Manager/Lead Project Manager level (equivalent to Senior PM/ Project Director) ideally in the Water industry. Accustomed to and comfortable with managing teams and a range of demanding stakeholders, youll have experienceof working in commercial alliances and understand the importance of collaboration to achieve success.Excellent knowledge of Health & SafetyAccustomed to dealing with multiple projects.Youll be comfortable professionally challenging a host of stakeholders by using your strong communication and relationship building skills.Experience of working within a commercial framework and with knowledge of NEC Option C contractsAble to make decisions quickly for the best of the business.Track record of successfully managing teams in a performance driven environment, Able to work strategically as and when required by giving your team the trust, empowerment and support by delegating tasks.Strong organisational and prioritising skills
