Job Description

A leading legal and wealth management practice in Peterborough, are keen to appoint an experienced and ambitious Paraplanner into their growing team in the region.You will be working in partnership with an experienced team of Financial Planners across the region; supporting in the delivery of holistic and independent financial advice, by means of conducting research and preparing written advice of the highest quality; whilst being proactive and suggesting improvements and challenging ideas.This would be an exceptional opportunity for a diploma-qualified Paraplanner, whos able to tackle complex workloads and has a real keen interest in delivering a proficient and quality driven service.The role:

  • To prepare written advice and provide technical research services to a team of Advisors and Partners
  • To ensure that the preparation of advice for clients (both internal and external) is of the highest quality and delivered in an efficient manner
  • Regularly participate in team meetings, including highlighting issues and owning actions through to resolution
  • Proactive in suggesting improvements for the continuing progression of the team and company
  • Strong technical knowledge and research of financial services products
  • Relevant experience in a wealth management environment
  • Effective communication, both verbally and in writing
  • Effective drafting of client advice
  • Ability to attend and participate in client meetings, conferences and seminars from time-to-time
    • What were looking for:
  • Diploma qualified (or equivalent) qualification within Financial Advice/Planning
  • Previous experience of working as a Paraplanner in a fee based environment
  • Discretionary management, cash flow modelling, financial planning, and able to analyse existing investments and formulate advice with the Financial Planner
  • Experience in report writing and research (ideally presale)
  • Able to deal with a fast pace and high pressure workload and need to not be afraid to challenge
