Job Description

Role Overview Senior Estates Surveyor working within the Occupier Services - Corporate Account Management team. Leading on Estates matters for a variety of clients including one of Savills principle clients and managing the Estates Team delivering value adding servicesto our clients and compliance with all contractual services. Based in Peterborough but undertaking work throughout the Eastern Region. The role, which replaces a retiring colleague, would work throughout the team and with opportunitiesto work with our other growing Occupier Services Team based around the country and serving a wide variety of commercial occupier client mandates.Key Responsibilities of the RoleTo lead and be pro-active on the delivery of Estates Services including but not limited to: Identification, negotiation and management of sales of surplus land. Negotiation of estate management (commercial and rural) issues including new leases, renewals, surrenders, rent reviews, and easements. Managing estate management and property management issues on operational and sublet estate, triaging real estate issues, and exploiting income opportunities to our clients benefit. Undertaking professional work. Subtenant engagement and management of subtenant lease compliance, arrears management, notices, and tenants application for alienation or alterations. Preparation and presentation of monthly reports and attendance of client meetings. Client Relationship Management and routine proactive engagement with key client stakeholders. Scoping works and services and making recommendations to clients. Managing a team including a graduate and recently qualified surveyor. High level of responsibility with the opportunity to take on Account Management duties.Skills, Knowledge and Experience Skills and Knowledge:- Knowledge of commercial and rural landlord & tenant. Strong understanding of the Service Charge Code and experience in either directly managing service charges or scrutinising and validating third-party service charges documentation. Experience maintaining and utilising lease administration and property management databases, and wider Microsoft Office software suite. To work as part of team, but without constant supervision, to be able to plan and prioritise workload Ability to spot value-adding opportunities. Attention to detail and accuracy of work. To be able to work closely with client, tenants, and other third parties. To be a good communicator To be customer facing and conscious of client requirements. Dealing with assigned estate management issues both transactional and retained management, valuations, land appraisals, reports. Ability to work throughout East Anglian region, car driver. To undertake site inspections and meetings alone. A motivator, able to create successful team working and individual performance and engagement.
