My client are experiencing a huge period and growth following investment into the wider business. With an already strong reputation for innovation and technical expertise, they have grown quickly against expectations and as such are looking to establish their position in the market through the recruitment of several key positions into the business,one of which is a Senior Buyer who will lead the purchasing function on a daily basis. As a consultancy working on a project led process, the role will include both pre and post quote purchasing activity, working closely with project teams to help specifyand cost equipment and installations to help the business remain commercially focussed when entering into agreements and negotiations. You will also be responsible for sourcing and purchasing products and services for ongoing designs and development projects,working to engineering drawings and calculations to deliver accurate coatings to the wider business.ideally you will have at least 5 years experience in a senior purchasing position, with a track record of delivering efficiencies and savings by using intelligent purchasing processes and astute negotiations. Experience in engineering and capital equipmentis essential, or with strong knowledge of food machinery or equipment as a minimum, you will have sourced and purchased stainless steel components, pump, valves and other equipment from engineering drawings and specifications A degree in a relevant discipline is preferred, however direct experience plus vocational qualifications such as a CIPS would also be highly relevant, with demonstrable experience in purchasing a wide range of products and services.
