Job Description

Global Manufacturer require a Senior Business Intelligence / Power BI Developer to work with software developers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists on strategic data initiatives. You will be responsible for expanding and optimizing data and data visualisation, working with cross functional teams.As the Senior Business Intelligence Developer you will be responsible for:

  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
  • Enhance visualisation outputs via expert use of Power BI
  • Work with key stakeholders to identify visualisation / analytic outputs in Power BI
  • Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery
  • Loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL/Non-SQL and Azure big data technologies
  • Build analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics
  • Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data needs
  • Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
  • Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in data systems.
  • Owning the stability of new products designed, including the on-going robustness, resilience and stability of these products
    • Experienced using the following software/tools:
  • Expert use of Data Visualisation in Power BI (Essential)
  • Experience of Azure or AWS Cloud Services (Essential)
  • MS SQL, Logic Apps, Function Apps, SSIS, SSRS (Essential)
  • Big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc. (Desirable)
  • Relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Cassandra (Desirable)
  • Data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc (Desirable)
  • Object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala (Desirable)
  • Data Integration / Archiving / Relational Databases and Data Warehousing (Desirable)
  • Microsoft Azure DevOps (Desirable)
