Senior Battery Scientist – ElectrochemistPhotocentric Group is an award-winning manufacturer based in Phoenix, AZ, US, and the UK. We are innovators of 3D printers, resin, and worldwide leaders of craft stamp manufacturing.This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Senior Battery Scientist – Electrochemist, preferably with battery experience, to work in our 3d battery team. The project focuses on the design and manufacture of 3-dimensional battery cells with an optimized performance for a variety of applications, as well as the development of suitable 3d printing materials for this application and the validation of the 3d printed battery cells in a real application.We have a core business based on being innovative in photopolymers, for which we received the Queen’s Award for Innovation. We have applied our innovations to craft and office stamps, flexographic printing, and 3D printing. We commercialized the first 3D printer based on an LCD screen and manufacture the Liquid Crystal range of 3D printers. We have invented the concept of custom mass manufacturing using 3d printing and have manufactured millions of PPE items for the NHS during the Covid19 crisis.Key responsibilities of our Senior Battery Scientist – Electrochemist include: - Designing of 3-dimensional electrodes- Designing of battery cells with 3-dimensional electrodes- 3d printing test parts- Testing electrodes and cells- Developing and designing electrochemical testing methods- Interpreting results from electrochemical tests- Carrying out electrochemical measurements- Validating 3d printed parts- Reporting detailed and accurate resultsSkills and Experience required of our Senior Battery Scientist – Electrochemist:- Advanced degree in chemistry, material science, or equivalent with electrochemical focus- Preferably PhD. in electrochemistry- Experience in battery or capacitors- Highly motivated, proactive individuals- Team player with excellent communication skillsIf you would like to join our growing team and feel that you have the necessary skills and experience to become our Senior Battery Scientist – Electrochemist please click ‘apply’ now!
