Job Description

We are actively recruiting for an exciting job opportunity with a successful accountancy firm based within a short commute of Peterborough and Spalding and available at Semi-Senior Accountant level. The salary is negotiable and will of course depend on experienceand qualification level and is open within reason.If you would like the opportunity of working in a small friendly team; assisting clients across a broad range of business sectors, then this role could be ideal for you.Utilising a combination of the latest cloud-based technology along with a traditional approach to clients, you will have the opportunity to have a positive impact on clients businesses.You will receive support from other team members along with continual professional development support.This will also provide opportunity for career progression.ROLE OVERVIEW:

  • Accounts preparation, could develop to review of work
  • Possible audit responsibilities in the future, but this is optional
  • Accounts from beginning to end, receiving the accounts back to finalise after the client meeting.
  • The work is largely on limited companies, draft corporation tax computations and some assistance with personal tax.
  • Bookkeeping in the firm is largely on xero, there are a small amount on QuickBooks and a few on Sage.
  • Tax Returns.
  • Maintaining accurate accounting records and identifying discrepancies and variances.
  • The role also includes maintaining client relationships and providing exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
  • Competent knowledge of accounts and cloud software
  • Must be able to live and work in the UK
