Job Description

Sales Manager Meyer Scott Ref: VR/08379Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annumLocation: Lynchwood, PeterboroughOur client is a specialist in power conversion, using expert knowledge to specify, andsource and purchase power supply products for use in any customers application andacross all industries. Their range of products include DC/DC Converters, AC/DCInternal and External Power Supplies, Battery Chargers and LED Drivers.They are recruiting for a sales manager to increase sales to help in the company growth plans.The right candidate would have to be able to make several calls a day, handle technical queries (basic training would be given) and be systematic in their approach and handling of customers and running a CRM along with other company systems (such as CRM,Sales Processing, EXCEL, etc,).The job itself is Office based but occasionally you may need to go visit customers/prospective customers or attend exhibitions and such like, you may even be required to travel abroad very occasionally (but thats quite rare).Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a small team of people (currently 1) but looking at increasing to 3~4 people based on sales growth.
  • Primary Function, to achieve the sales targets set by the company which in this financial year (ending Sept 22) is going from 1.5m to £2.5m
  • Monitor and manage the sales personnel in all its aspects, from training, managing, monitoring performance, make minor adjustments to systems/procedures to increase chances of winning business, hiring/firing, conduct disciplinaries, praise and support andso on
  • Run a CRM system they have that helps to maintain and mange contact with customers and projects were working on and its different stages
  • Produce Reports on sales figures, forecast sales and several other reports required to improve their performance and performance of the team and to report to the company
  • Manage a database of price lists, work out costs, margins, quote customers, follow up, ensure customers are responded to in a timely fashion, represent the company and be professional in their approach and attitude
  • Liaise with our Operations to make sure deliveries to customers are on time and if not to communicate with the customer and manage when were likely to deliver and act to the best interest of the customer & Ideal Power
  • Chase up bad debts if and when needed is a professional manner and be capable of negotiating terms with customers that suit everyone
  • Finding and contacting new customers.
  • Managing existing customer sales accounts/processing
  • Other varied duties (more detailed criteria which will be provided).
Ideally, they would hold a driving Licence (not essential) they will have use of a laptop, desk phone, internet to conduct their work and a commission structure.Benefits24 days holiday (3 left for Christmas)+ bank holidaysHours: Monday - Friday 9~5:30 5 days per week (1/2 hour for lunch - unpaid)
