Job Description

The Role & Key Responsibilities Job Title: Account Manager (Ruminant) Location: Flexible UK - One day per month in Sherburn , North YorkshirePermanent: 37.5 hours per week This role is the main on farm / group / telephone interface between KW and all transactional buying groups.This is a key role in ensuring the profitability of the transactional buying groups, you will work as part of the retail team to achieve / exceed Budget, managing contracts and positions effectively, driving sales, retention and new business within thissector and are vital to the success of our KW Feeds rationing and retail business plan.What youll be doing:

  • Manage all product relationships with transactional buying groups across the UK, with ownership of aligned accounts specifically (but not exclusively) within the following areas:
    • Retention and growth of existing customer accounts.
    • Focus on retention and growth of all product groups.
    • Building strong relationships with buying groups and where applicable their members.
    • Creating product marketing opportunities in alignment with the groups, such as group newsletters, member meetings and working with both technical and marketing to take commercial advantage of these.
    • Timely management of Sales Opportunities.
    • Timely management of contract balances.
    • Ensuring CRM System is used, and all customer information is up to date and accurate.
    • Uncovering cross-sell and upsell opportunities.
  • Where there are limited volumes, working with the Trading lead to implement distribution plans.
  • Working closely with all product teams to share knowledge and flex as required between product areas when required.
  • Manage the product sales and purchase contracts with integrity to meet the needs of customers and suppliers, ensuring balances are cleared and closed appropriately in a timely manner.
  • Be a key driver in sharing market insight across your aligned Customers to take advantage of market opportunities, the right time to buy and drive sales.
  • Work as part of a high functioning retail team, driving your own and other team members capability and accountability for the success of the team performance.
What youll bring:
  • Previous B2C Face to Face / D2F Sales experience.
  • Experience of using CRM would be advantageous
  • Practical commercial experience and entrepreneurial flair with a demonstrable track record of achieving targets.
  • An understanding of the fundamental drivers of the UK agriculture industry.
