Job Description

Are you an experienced Area Manager and leader responsible for motivating your people and driving the performance and success of all shops within your area Do you have a track history of achieving all targets and KPIs driven by engagement and teamworkIf yes, then you should apply to be our new Retail Area Manager in our new Eastlands region, ideally youll be based around the Peterborough area. This role is driven bycontinuing expansion at Pavers,to drive performance in our retail shop estate. This rolewill cover 20/25 stores within the area covering - Northerly Lincolnshire,Norfolk, down to Bedfordshire, and across toDerbyshire.This is an autonomous role where you will inspire, lead, encourage, train, mentor and support the managers in your area to maximise sales as well as to meet, and exceed their targets(KPIs) and goals. Youll ensure the Store Managers deliver the best customerexperience possible and support them to get the best out of their teams, encouraging training and development to maximise people potential. We have a clear vision for the future of Pavers and you must translate this into practical advice for daily situationsand ensure that all decisions made in your area help support our collective goals.Youll have a fully supported 6-month induction plan to ensure you are in the best position possible to succeed, receiving regular visits for the Head of Stores and a great group of piers to bounce ideas off.If you are an experience Retail Area Manager, self-motivated with a can-do attitude and want to work for a business with a targeted growth plan, both retail stores and online, then joining us at Pavers could be a great choice for you!Requirements to be our Retail Area Manager:

  • Area work history with a past record of driving sales and service performance and exceeding all KPIs - creating a positive, innovative & fun atmosphere which encourages our people to commit to exceeding their targets and, where necessary, to go beyondthe call of duty to achieve it
  • Experience in delivering against the Strategic/Retail plan and goals
  • Ability to analyse and understand product, people, or efficiency reports and have a track history in showing their actions drive sales, service levels or save time or cost
  • Inspiring leader who is a skilled mentor, coach and motivator who believes in achieving results through teamwork and sharing best practice both in and off area
  • Deliver agreed team action plans against the threats and weaknesses identified from Retails engagement survey results
  • Build strong, collaborative bonds with other Area Managers ensuring best practice is shared, and friendships are formed
  • Drive positive change in your area through clear communication with a blend of verbal, written and video methods
  • Create an innovative and open feedback culture that encourages new ideas and initiatives
  • Ensure the customer is at the heart of the decisions we make and continually strive to improve service levels
  • Manage controllable costs & budgets in line with company targets. Ensure cost efficiencies are delivered within this key strategic pillar
  • Work closely with all relevant Head office departments
  • Ensure your stores are compliant with loss prevention & security processes, completing audits and ensuring correct procedures are being maintained
  • Be comfortable using Microsoft Office 365 suite and other IT related software
  • Support new store openings, refits & relocations
  • Be involved in business or retail projects by effectively delegating to your Area Support Manager to free up the required time
  • Ensure that the shops in your area conform to the Company Health & Safety standards
  • Any other duties required by the Company
