Position: Quantity Surveyors - all levels2 Managing QSs3 Senior QSs7 QSs2 Assistant QSsLocation: Peterborough.Occasional visits to offices and sites will be required but a lot of the work can be carried out from homeSalary: £35-70k (DOE), car/allowance (dependent upon level) and excellent benefits packageThe Role: Working within a Framework JV made up of seven partner companies and their extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Waters capital investment programme.The framework is heading into its latest Asset Management Period, known as AMP 7 which will the delivery of a £1.4bn programme of work over the next five years.Responsibilities: Work as part of the integrated delivery team, providing commercial support to both the delivery management and on-site delivery teams. Ensuring that that operations are carried out to control costs, maximise value, minimise future liabilitiesand maintain the required standard of quality and safety.Oversee full compliance with the Alliance and Anglian Water governance procedures on a consistent basis.Manage all aspects of commercial and cost management of a project or group of projects as designated by the Project Commercial ManagerEnsure robust cost management processes are undertaken at all times with accurate and timely reports, data and analysis on hand to assist in commercial decisionsEnsure that all project team members (including site staff) understand the contractual arrangements, to satisfy Client & Partner organisation requirementsWork in collaboration with the Delivery Team to identify, implement and monitor efficiency plans throughout the lifecycle of a project or programme of projectsEnsuring that proper records (including final accounts) are kept & maintained so financial information for audits and cost assurance is readily availableExperience: Extensive experience in managing costs.Qualified in quantity surveying, an engineering, management or cost discipline, coupled with the passion and desire to pursue a career in Commercial Management.First-class customer service and leadership skillsIn-depth knowledge of construction, contractual terms including NEC 3, and be comfortable challenging processes, practices and norms to improve the overall commercial offering to the business.Able to manage several projects at once.Key Words:Quantity SurveyorQuantity SurveyingQSCommercial ManagementContractsConditions of ContractContractualNECIChemEJoint VenturesJVFrameworksWater IndustryWater SectorWater TreatmentWastewaterWaste WaterSewageConstructionCivilsM&EHighwaysUtilitiesCost ControlCost ManagementProject Delivery
