Job Description

Are you an ambitious and career driven Quantity Surveyor Maybe you are an Assistant Quantity Surveyor or a Graduate looking to take the next steps in your career If so this may be the right role for youInteraction Recruitment are partnering with a highly reputable telecommunications organisation that design, build, manage and maintain vital communication infrastructure for every-day use for a better-connected world! SALARY: £40,000 - £45,000 (NEGOTIABLE) LOCATION: PETERBOROUGH (OCCASIONAL TRAVEL) HOURS: MONDAY TO FRIDAYAs a Quantity Surveyor you will be working closely with the Head of Finance to improve and maintain commercial report across the wide spectrum of the business and the growing projects to follow! Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the management of sub-contract payments including negotiation of subcontract variations and monitoring and reconciliation of contra-charge accounts
  • Attend and drive commercial meetings with clients and key internal and external stakeholders
  • Produce financial and statistical reports when required
  • Identify, analyse and respond to commercial risks
  • Advise stakeholders on KPIs and performance to enable delivery of plan and to review and challenge efficient and drive margin improvement
  • Collate information for forecasting and monitoring contract reviews in accordance with this
  • Support the Head of Finance with analytical performance reports - aim of identifying improvements for revenue, margin and efficiency
  • Review client contracts
This role would suit an ambitious individual that has at least 1 year of exposure to working in Quantity Surveying role. I am looking to speak to the following: Quantity Surveyors, Assistant Quantity Surveyors, Graduate Surveyors and those who are looking to take the next steps in success quantity surveying role!Successful Candidates Will Display The Following:
  • Minimum 1 years experience in a Quantity Surveying role
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify areas of continuous improvement
