Job Description

Do you have experience of Quality Assurance within an FMCG environment Would you like to join a company that are investing heavily in their siteThe role will be responsible for ensuring the company meets their legislative and quality standards concerning hygiene, food handling and food safety.Client DetailsOur client are a leading FMCG company based in the Peterborough area. The company are expanding and are currently looking to hire a Quality Assurance Manager on a permanent basis.DescriptionResponsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring culture and values remain in the forefront of all your activities.
  • Contributing to the development of the team, through sharing ideas, new ways of working in a supportive and collaborative manner.
  • Supporting with the development and roll out of the quality and compliance strategy.
  • Ensuring effective HACCP systems are in operation.
  • Ensuring traceability across the site and being the first point of contact for queries arising;
  • Monitoring and researching quality, foreign bodies and customer complaints to ensure future prevention;
  • Developing and maintaining an audit programme.
  • Ensuring the QA function develops and maintains systems and procedures that provide the correct information required, including due diligence, customer specifications, traceability and customer manufacturing standards.
  • Coordinating microbiological testing regime for product, swabs, raw materials and water.
  • Analysing and interpreting microbiological data and results and taking swift action to resolve any issues arising.
  • Manage and action unavailable stock.
ProfileApplicants should have:
  • Experience in working within a fast paced FMCG environment.
  • Quality inspection, auditing and testing experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP.
  • Advanced knowledge with HACCP, Food Safety, Auditing.
  • Thorough knowledge of BRC and AIB standards.
