For: Purchasing Coordinator (Permanent)Meyer Scott Ref: VR/08033Location: PeterboroughSalary: £25 - £26K OTE £35K, 25 days holiday, contributory pension (up to 6%), Profit Share & Life Cover.Established in 1985, we are widely recognised as the UKs only exclusive distributor of premium electrical kitchen appliances and housewares. Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator, who is enterprising in their approach to business and looking for that challenge to advance our already very successful business.We are on the cusp of moving to brand new state of the art facilities and the role brings the opportunity to work with our dynamic and tenacious team as we continue to push our business forward. In the role of Purchasing Coordinator you will be responsible for planning and placing orders with our supplier base based in Far East, UK and a small amount in Europe, as well as reporting forecasting information both internally and externally that is critical to the continued growth of our business.The Purchasing Coordinator will be:· Reporting to the Sales Operations Manager· Responsible for monitoring forecasts from our sales team and communicating our intake plans to suppliers· Continually analysing our order patterns and processes with the scope to improve our efficiencies and stock availability· Working with our suppliers to ensure that all stock required is planned and delivered when we need it· Liaising internally with our sales and operational teams to keep them informed of planned deliveries· Dealing with any issues in relation to our supplier orders and deliveries· Processing all order documentation and liaising with freight forwarders for Far East purchases· Arranging deliveries and liaising with our warehouse· Administrative duties as required to back up the purchasing function including filing, order inputting, etc.The Ideal Candidate:· Will be proficient in MS programmes, excellent Excel knowledge is a must· You must have experience in a buying/purchasing role and potentially Far East imports· Have excellent organisational skills· Rigorous attention to detail· Ability to build relationships with people of all levels both within the organisation and externally with suppliers and to use these relationships to deliver exceptional results.· Eligibility to live and work in the UK to be considered for this role.The role requires the individual to have a high level of integrity and an ability to focus in on the detail to deliver high standards of work. With proven experience in a similar role, the successful applicant will be confident, with good communication and numeracy skills.Hours: 37.5 hours a week however imminent changes are afoot due to business growth.
