Job Description

About the role The Zellis Bid Support team supports the delivery of increased sales by owning and managing an efficient bid process, from qualification through to successful close, of new opportunities and opportunities to extend existing contracts, as well as supportingthe development of value-driven customer solutions.As Major Pursuits Proposal Manager youll be responsible for ensuring that bids and proposals are produced to the highest possible standard and comprise a compliant, compelling and value-based response to customer requirements based on the market leadingsolutions that Zellis can offer.Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead in the preparation of all forms of bid and proposal.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the company with an ability to produce bids on all company products and services.
  • Assist in the production of infographics, functional/non-functional questionnaires, and case study preparation, including taking a first pass at responses using the RFPIO knowledge library.
  • Plan key stages of individual bids and allocate appropriate deadlines with follow-ups to ensure deadlines are adhered to. Escalate to the Bid Lead where these internal deadlines are missed.
  • Obtain and/or provide written input and maintain control of overall editorial content of all bid and proposal elements. Liaise with internal teams as necessary to develop engaging and compelling client-facing messaging.
  • Assist the Commercial Sales and Account Management teams to prepare for regular opportunity and proposal reviews for bid/no bid decisions, kick-offs, pricing decisions, win strategy development, etc.
  • Ensure a high standard of bid quality that it is competitive within the industry, considers market specific knowledge or research, and is compliant with customers requirements and strategic ambition.

Skills and experience required
  • Experience of complete bid cycle in both public and private/commercial procurement tenders.
  • Track record of personally leading successful bids in a competitive environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in successfully leading a multi-disciplinary bid team.
  • Experience of managing bids that deliver a technology solution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Able to produce documentation and proposals to a high standard.
  • Able to understand and articulate the benefits of complex product functionality.
  • A minimum of 3 years experience within a similar position.
  • Highly organised and self-motivated.
  • Able to collate, organise and distil key points from multiple data sources.
  • Able to work in a high-pressure environment to demanding deadlines.
