Job Description

Circa £42,500 dependent on skills and experience PermanentFull time, 37 hours Home working & Peterborough office (2 Days in the office)Taking contract management further Working within the Procurement Support Services Team you will be responsible for the support and development of 2 Procurement Co-ordinators carrying out the Non Framework Procurement (NFP) process as well as undertaking non-framework procurements yourself.Youll be Responsible for managing the flow and allocation of NFP requests in a timely manner, whether through the NFP app or the Ariba Procurement Operations Desk with a delegated approval level of £50,000k for NFP spend. Liaising with business stakeholderswhere instances of non-compliance are identified. Responsible for the identification and mitigating risks associated with NFPs, for example GDPR. You will also be responsible for contributing towards wider Team savings targets.There will be Regular strategic review / analysis of supplier spend and recommendations as to actions, eg, aggregation, placing of short term agreements, flagging to appropriate Sourcing Teams. To provide guidance & support to the wider business in termsof sourcing, order management and the end to end purchase to pay process, including Ariba and SAP.What does it take to be a Procurement Specialist

  • CIPS Professional standard and membership or willingness to study towards
  • Knowledge of European Procurement and other relevant legislation
  • A minimum of 3 years experience within a Procurement role, it would be advantageous if some of the tenure was in capacity process lead or team leader or equivalent level.
  • Ability to independently manage escalation in absence of the line manger
  • Robust advanced Analytical skills
  • Relevant SAP experience
  • Good keyboard and communication skills
  • Ability to deal with a high-volume workload and meet strict deadlines
  • Good customer service and clear communication skills
  • Verbal and numerical reasoning skills
  • Coaching and mentoring skills
  • The ability to sell the benefits of supply chain to internal customers
  • Excellent working knowledge of SAP and the Microsoft 365 Suite
  • Training will be given in the use of Ariba, Scanmarket and any other systems used within ISC.
