Job Description

Here at Pertemps we are looking for Machine Operators to work in a busy Print team.Ideally you will have experience working within a print industry as my clientis looking for people who are able to use enclosing, poly wrapping and inkjet machines.Are you looking to work for a forward thinking, diverse company based in PeterboroughIf this sounds like you then keep reading...There are day and night shifts available and this role is based on 40 hour permanentcontract.Salary £20,000 to £23,000 depending on shift and experience, there is a £10 per shift bonus for nights and up to £100 monthly bonus for both day and night shift.Day shift hours can be worked between 7am and 5pm, worked over 5 days Monday to Friday, some flexibility of hours can be agreed for the right candidate.Night shift hours can be worked between 5pm and 7am (5.30am during quieter periods) and will be worked over 4 days Monday to Thursday, some flexibility can be agreed for the right candidate.Job role:To operate and adjust enclosing equipment to an optimum level ensuring that production requirements are being met and improved. Ensuring a high level of quality output is maintained throughout.Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for setting and running enclosing/poly wrapping or inkjet machines
  • Responsible for ensuring that quality and quantity standards are achieved
  • Ensure that all quality procedures are adhered to and all relevant paperwork is completed accurately and on time
  • Recognise potential problems quickly and informing the Supervisor or manager immediately
  • Ensure PPE is worn as and when required
  • Completely understand the job or task you are doing
  • To attend and comply with all training
  • Undertake to comply with the Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) and its associated policies
  • To perform any other duties which may be required from time to time
  • Responsiblefor loading all hoppers with the correct stock
  • Understanding postal sortations and making sure all work is bagged and presented correctly
  • Lead by example and ensure that all work produced by yourself is of the Company standard expected
